The Fall Of Blackraven Kaizen Peering into the distance, Kaizen could make out the vague shadows of spears, swords, shields, and the ever imposing Nemedian Banner that has caused such fear throughout Aquilonia. As he drank his goblet of wine, he pondered upon his actions, his choices, before throwing the goblet down at the floor, and donning his Battlearmor, the jagged curves, the shining steel, and the grand design implied leadership, and trust. As he marched out, he attached the final piece of his armor, his helmet, and began to bellow orders to his subordinates. Archers manned the walls, great warriors were awoken from their sleep, and citizens were hurried to the temple. Kaizen began lining up the men, until suddenly the front gates swung ajar. Silence. "Who in the hell opened the damn gates!?" Kaizen screamed. "Sir... the Guards are dead... I think there are Assassins in th-" The guard was interrupted by screams from a nearby house. "By the Gods!, Men! We're under siege! protect the citizens at all costs!" Kaizen commanded. The once silent gates now being flooded by a dozen nemedian barbarians. "Bah! deal with the assassins, i'll take these intruders!" Kaizen sprinted with unholy speed into the pack of savage mercenaries, quickly unsheathing his weapon in a dazzling array of speed and grace, as he approached he lifted his weapon at waist height, and impaled an unexpecting barbarian, before disposing of him with a swift kick, sliding his wounded corpse off his blade. The barbarians encircled him, and he quickly glanced around, before laughing unusually. "Well Well... If it ain't lord Kaizen.." Spoke a red haired barbarian, as the words slithered through his yellow stained teeth. "looks like we're in luck" "Ironic" Kaizen replied, before his weapon arm began to swell, encased in a cloud of dark energy, corruption, and pure fear; such a display of unholiness sent shivers down the spines of the ever so traditional savages. "Wha... Gah! KILL HIM!" The barbarians rushed in with weapons overhead, screaming barbaric insults and battle roars. "Kaeil Azek Auren Sha'ran" Kaizen murmoured, before pumping his fist into the floor, and sending the dark energy all around him, creating a mist of black smoke, a veil. Nothing could be seen, screams could be heard, blood could be felt against the cold skin of the bandits, was it their own, their friends, Kaizens? The Mist Disappeared, and Kaizen stood drenched in stains of blood, with his hand gripping the throat of the Yellow toothed red-head, grinning manically. ".... Pl- ... Please." The man can barely speak as his #lifes ebs away, the grip of Kaizen was that of a savage animal, the man could do nothing, but hang whilst looking into eyes of Kaizen, the floor surrounded by corpses and black smoke. As the man made his final pleads, Kaizen gloated in his face, and watched the once muscle bound brute become an empty vessel, before slamming the limp corpse to the ground. At that moment, one of Blackravens scouts approached. "Kaizen... The army is here... They're approaching the gates!" Kaizen grunts.. "Men! Form up! You're fighting for your lives, you're fighting for Blackraven, For Aquilonia, for your sons, your daughters, your beliefs! DO NOT FAIL ME!" The quickly assembled army of soldiers and male civilians began to thrust up their weapons in a flood of cheers, before swarming the enterance to Blackraven, and awaiting an almost certain demise. As the men prepared, Kaizen began to approach the heart of Blackraven, the stronghold, the keep. Its royal tapestries and white stone floors mirrored the sucess of the Order. As the Strategos, Kaizen, approached his private quarters, the almost silent echo of approaching feet drew near, Kaizen knew that noise anywhere, it was his Royal Advisor, Mercuro, donning his ever traditional blue robe, with the softened leather sandles, bought from a travelling bossonian merchant. "Sir.. The Nemedians, are everywhere... we are going to die Sir!" Squealed Mercuro. "Hmph... You have little faith in my soldiers, Mecuro" Kaizen grunted, apparently not at ease with Mercuros presence. "This is your fault, this is all your fault! I know what you did, Kaizen, I'm a loyal servant, so i thought nothing of your actions, but this... how could you do such a-" A strong grunt bellowed from the lungs of kaizen, his piercing eyes narrowed as he unsheathed his weapon at lightning speed, and quickly spun around on his heel with blade at hand, his weapon effortlessly sliced the neck of Mercuro, in a spectacular act of brutality, the once noble Mecuro fell to the floor, to rot in a puddle of his own blood. Kaizen sighed "You we're always too intrusive, Mercuro." Kaizen continued, and pushed through the golden oak door, into his private chambers. The royal chambers of Kaizen were lit up with gleaming jewels, gigantic furs of beastly mammoths, the luxurious bed with its silken covers serves as the rooms centerpiece. "It is done." Kaizen murmoured to the shadowed figure.
