Mysterious Girl: Chapter 1 Chapter 1: The Piano Recital Summer had passed and autumn was arriving. In Amaterasu Academy, the most prestigious school in Japan where the noble and rich families' heirs and heiresses attended... "Misuteri's new advert is up!!" "Oh my gosh! Really?? Where???" "Hey, I want to see it too!!!" Squeals of excitement were heard as a crowd quickly formed in front of a white pillar where a huge poster of a girl was taped to. A tall, lean guy walked by the uproar of squealing fans, not bothering to glance in their direction. 'Noisy' he thought in annoyance, as he made his way to class with his black bag pack slung over a shoulder. He wore the school's uniform which was a white shirt that was tugged out with a black wool vest over it, the school's golden insignia imprinted on the vest's top left and simple black pants paired with black school shoes. The boy had shaggy ebony hair and stood at a height of 178 centimetres with broad shoulders. His fair skin had a slight tan to it and strong blue eyes stood out among them. "Ryuu!" Responding to his name, the dark haired male turned to face his caller whom he regconized as his friend. "Akihito." he greeted nonchalantly before continuing his way to class. "That's all you have to say to your dear childhood friend after all the weeks we haven't met ?" Akihito sighed in mock disappointment as he came up beside Ryuu. Akihito reaches 175 centimetres with slightly broad shoulders and fair skin. Long brown hair cascades freely down his back and emerald orbs peeps out from between shaggy bangs. "Morning Akihito-sempai, Ryuu-sempai." came greetings as both males passed by students. Akihito's reply was a bright smile while Ryuu's was grunts. Both were known throughout the school for their top scores and unbelievably good looks, added with the fact that Akihito was the heir to the Takamura traditional tea ceremonial school that was recognised as Japan's best. As soon as the two friends got to class, classes started and since it was their graduation year, it meant endless hours of studying and hearing teacher's lectures. After what seemed to be an eternity, lunch break came and everyone sighed in relief as if a piece of heaven had been shown to them. Ryuu got up from his seat and slipped out of the classroom, heading towards the school's garden for a breather. Lying down within the cool shade of a cherry blossom tree, he hooked his hands together behind his head acting as a cushion. Lazy sapphire eyes looked up at the sky, watching clouds pass as the wind blows cherry petals across their view from swaying branches, eventually landing on the earth where they would wither. Suddenly, 2 red and gold coloured pieces of rectangular paper appeared in front of Ryuu's face, Akihito's grinning face joining them seconds later. "Two tickets to Misuteri's recital tonight. What do you think?" Akihito asked. "Hn." Ryuu grunted. "Oh well... I thought you would like it cause it would be a piano recital." the emerald eyed boy stated as he too lied down in the shades of the cherry tree. Ryuu stiffened at the mention of his favourite classical instrument. Hours later... The outline of the setting sun blurred as the bright yellow blended with the flaming red, indicating the start of evening. 'Why did i agree to come again?' Ryuu twitched as he sat in his seat beside Akihito who was chatting animatedly about this Misuteri they were about to see. They were seated in the centre row and had a clear view of the whole stage. The theatre's lights dimmed as the stage lights brightened. A girl with skin as fair as snow appeared on stage. The top half of her face was covered by a white mask, leaving her glossy pale pink lips the only thing viewable. Long blonde hair was tied up in a high pony tail with a silky white ribbon. She wore a silk, double spaghetti strapped black dress that reached a few inches above her knees with a single white rose sewed onto the top centre of it and a white ribbon going round her waist ending at the back in a neatly tied ribbon. Walking with natural grace towards an ebony grand piano placed in the centre of the stage, her long blonde hair flowed gently behind her giving off the air of mystery. Once she reached the piano, she bowed towards the audience before taking her seat. Her hands moved across the keys with practiced grace while her fingers hit every note with trained accuracy. The aura around her turned light and the gentle melodic tune of the piano filled the air. At that moment, time seemed to revolve around her and the melody she played, the audience so entranced by her that not even the sound of breathing was heard. 'She's good.' Ryuu thought. Having played the piano for a few years now, he knew that no beginner could play this well. After a few hours, the recital came to an end and everyone left the theatre satisfied. "So, what do you think?" Akihito questioned curiously. Not hearing any response from his childhood friend he turned to face him. Surprise filled emerald eyes as they took in the look on the onyx haired male's face. "Ryuu??" Akihito probed. "She's interesting." Ryuu responded. Akihito stared at his friend in shock. Was his ears playing tricks on him? This was the first time in quite a long while that Ryuu had said something was interesting. A small smile formed on his face. "Well then! Let's go have dinner now!" Akihito exclaimed slinging an arm over his taller companion's neck and dragging him along down the street. "Stop dragging me!"
