Run Outside of the rain and flame we run, Harrowed by the heat we're bound to rue, Cut and never noticed as we flee, From smoke and ash and flame to golden sun. Gasping up for air from daunting salt, Cussing in a panic, you know it's all your fault, Trying yet again to see the reef, Despite the lack of air, the shallow grief. Suddenly you know you're growing old, When you wake up and can't seem to feel your toes, When you see the beauty in the dawn, The day will fade and everything goes cold.
