ASYLUM - (4) "Who-who-who's there?" I asked. No answer. "Answer! Answer NOW!" A rustling of plastic bags was frail against the sharp tone of the person's voice. "Honey!" they said. "Calm down, you sound a little manic, let me in please!" Cautiously, I opened the door. It was a woman, a woman who looked surprisingly alike to my mother. The same appearance, voice, name and character - though it couldn't be, of course, my mother's dead. My father killed her. Then he tried to kill me. I let the woman in though - I had the gun as my security inside the palm of my left hand. "Who-who are you?" I asked. "I'm your mother, sweetie, who are you?" she laughed. "No. No no my mother - she is dead -" "Um hun I'm here .. Must have just been a dream - or nightmare, I hope.." "ok then, 'mum', what is the name of my sister?" She paused. Turned to face me, looking at me inquisitively.. "you don't have a sister" "Ok then?? No, no I do!! Lucy!! Lucy my sister!!" "... You don't have a sister." I pointed to Lucy, holding Charlie in her arms in the corner, pointed her out to mum but mum was looking indirectly, yet saying she sees no-one. I pointed her in the right direction though she still shook her head. "no. I don't see her"
