The Help Diary It has recently been estimated that the cleaning industry in the UK is worth around £9bn pounds a year. Just say that all of these received minimum wage, how many workers do you think there are to make such a profitable industry? And how many of these do you think are British? And thinking about it how would you really know? At home or in an office a new surge for the "help" has appeared as people take on more hours and have less and less time and let's face it will to clean their places. As women, we are practically born cleaners, as we get older we have to clean after pets, then your smaller siblings, followed by cooking, them cleaning up after cooking, then comes the boyfriend/husband, and the children....
