I Am Wanted {2} I started running. As I reached the forest, I thought back. What did I know about running from dangerous criminals? I numbered them off. 1.You don't trust anyone. 2.Stay off roads and out of non-crowded areas. 3.Come up with a back story for nosy people. Okay, I knew some things. I was still running, thinking this, when I heard the bushes moving. I stopped and turned around. It's probably just an animal, I thought. Then I heard breathing, human breathing. Okay, so it's not an animal. I started running, thinking about the wreck. Who was driving the other truck? I hadn't seen the driver, so I assumed he was dead. Maybe he wasn't. Maybe he was the one who was hiding in the bush. "Stay calm," I whispered as I ran,"It's going to be okay." I knew I was lying to myself, but it was the only way to keep from screaming. I turned around, thinking I had lost him, when I was hit with a sharp blade. It had only grazed my arm, but I saw blood. A small gash had formed on my arm. I looked for my attacker, seeing no one. Maybe whoever it was ran away, I thought. I checked the bushes and trees. I ran as fast as I could until I remembered my arm. I had seen 'Bear Grill', I could do this. I took a medium sized strip off the sleeve of my shirt and tied it tightly around the gash. Once I had bandaged my arm, I slowly jogged. I was out of breath, but I had to keep moving. I had never seen myself running this much, though. I started thinking about running from criminals again. I realized I had come up with another, so I mentally added it to my list. 4.Find food and shelter quickly. I looked up at the sky and saw it was darkening. Well, time to apply step number four. I started gathering big leaves I could use to make a lean-to. I leaned some dead wood on a large oak tree, then covered it with the big leaves. It would be crappy, but at least it was something. Finally, realizing how dark it was and how tired I was, I crawled under the lean-to. I thought about what I would do tomorrow. I needed to keep moving, get some food, find water, and redo the bandages on my wound. As I started drifting asleep, I looked up at the night sky, hoping tomorrow would be better. -------//--------- Hoped you guys liked part two!
