You were tracing constellations along my forearms, Straight lines and muffled songs. I said that you can't whisper into your own ear - but I can, and I know what to say; I'd say that when the air is so heavy that you can feel it weigh you down, All you can do is wait for your love to come around. Because my shadow won't be here in the mornings feeble light, When you wake, my birth stars will be out of sight. They'll hide behind the sun, and I'll dance on the moon, Because it's not fair that the stars are so beautiful and we're so ugly down here alone.
