The Shining I've always been freaked out by this movie, but never knew why. There was always something about it; something deeper than what was being shown. I've read from numerous sources that the movie is laden with sub-surface references, time-warps, the alter-ego and the battle between what's real and imaginary. There is a huge amount of different interpretations of it. I refuse to read any interpretations, though, as I don't want to be influenced in any way by any other ideas but my own. I'm going to watch this again closely. This should be fun!
