Desert Island Diary 5 part 4 The "thing" slumped to the ground. We stepped inside the door. The walls were white tiles with streaks of crimson blood staining them. A red emergency light flickered, almost warning us of what we were doing. The "thing" was in a blue uniform, a holster by its side. I picked up the gun. It felt weighty. We moved swiftly along the illuminated corridor. Another "thing" came along. I'd never used a gun. The recoil flung me back when I discharged a round into its head. We needed to look for survivors.
