To The Girl On The Subway The morning rush would engulf me in bodies, New faces here and there. I board the stairway bound east, same time, without care. Amongst the masses, your face would appear, like a beacon for my soul to hear. The dwindling line of sight between me and you, only shrinks as the crowds grew. My heart beacons me forward, but the human barrier so thick with luggage and bodies filling up quick. And when we finally arrive, you fly out of sight. I stand high and look around, relinquishment begins to bite. The light in my heart dims as you leave, and I reassure myself that tomorrow i'll be stronger.
