O-Puss was amazing cat, It followed people's pens! And gave everyone a voice, It was the writer's friend. No matter what the time of day, It always was alert, (Who wants to be a lert!), And any time one posted, Its answer was a cert. It never seemed to tire, As cats are prone to do, But kept on a meowing, All the whole night through. They stuffed their ears with cotton wool, And wrapped their heads in sheets, They counted over a million sheep, But still could get no sleep. So I wonder where that cat has gone, Is it still alive and well? Will it still meow forever, Well, only time will tell. (Oh meow for me O-Puss)!
