Be Yourself Why is it hard to be yourself now a days Why does everyone always try to impress Personalities are slowly starting to decay Society is just a mess What went wrong Why can't anyone have their own brain You need to teach yourself to be strong Or you're going to continue to live in pain Things could be so simple Yet everything is complicated We need to stop this trend like an infected pimple Stop being dictated.

Social media now almost completely influences what we do, what we think is cool / uncool, a lot of the blame lies with Facebook, which from simple and fun beginnings has taken on a slightly more sinister role. It pushes into our consciousness things we otherwise would know of, and cannot be underestimated in it's hoarding of personal information, which it sells to interested parties. Before Facebook erupted into public global consciousness life was a little more laid back. It is not the sole bad boy out there, but it is big. Well written Shawn ðððððð
