Switch On The world around was dulled and muted, awashed in grey and buzzing like a constant static noise that was easy to tune out and ignore. The world was switched off, waiting for something to wake it up. There was a feeling of hesistence in the air, as if the moment was holding its breath for such a thing... The sky receded slowly into darkness, attempting to force the grey away, setting the stage. A low heavy rumble breaking through the background buzzing, setting the scene. And still the world remained switched off. People carrying on in their unaware state, always needing to be somewhere. More thunder rolled through the city demanding recognition and with it came the flutter of the wind causing the leaves and rubbish to flurry across the city weaving amongst cars and pedstrians, leaving splatters of colour and broken noise in its wake. And still the world remained switched off. The wind picked up with a hint of rain on its hide and vendors stalls started to chatter in anticipation....static started to fill the air as the thunder grew in stature in preperation for its accomplice....its grand enterance split the sky, piercing the grey with colour, brightning the world for a moment before settling. And still the world remained switched off. The storm carried on its chaotic orchestra, reflected in the buildings and glassy eyes of those surrounding it, magnifying its brilliance. And still the world remained switched off. Suddenly time once again paused and with one last stroke of lightening and one last bang of thunder the curtains closed leaving a Pollock painting behind. And still the world remained switched off... A sigh of resignation filled the air as a gentle wave of rain fell to the ground washing away any reminants of grey and static noise, opening up a world of natural beauty for anyone to take notice. And still the world remained switched off. As the rain splashed down the world around put up their umbrellas, going through the motion and remaining blind to #lifes beauty. The world remained switched off, rushing by...but I enjoyed my time in the rain...
