Dear Sarah, that's a very good question. What we usually say to new users is... If you wish to be noticed... Be active... Give some other people a bit of love... And by that I mean... Comment their Opusses, like and retweet them (if you like them of course) and follow some awesome users. ...users will see you really care and will care about you too ) Hope it helps )

Dear Sarah, I too sometimes feel downhearted when I spend ages writing something that gets little attention or response from other Opuss users. It hurts to think that you're putting everything into writing and nobody even notices, I get that. But the difference between you and I is that I am quite senior in years, and I write for my pleasure ( I'm 65 and quite old ). But hey, I do fully sympathise and feel your pain. The secret? Never give up, never ever stop doing what you like just because no one else seems to care. Vincent Van Gogh is regarded as one of the greatest painters who ever lived, yet when he was alive he was almost penniless and unknown. He would sell his paintings for pennies just to buy food. Do not be downhearted, it takes time for your writing to be noticed by others, but that does not mean your writing is bad or uninteresting, these things just take a little time. Opuss is about to receive a huge update and will for the first time be available to Android users so your writing has the potential to reach many more readers. Take heart young Sarah, and never give up. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

You're not doing anything wrong, there's not too many regularly active users here right now, that'll probably explain quite a lot. One point; don't try to write what you think others will like. Write what you want to write, and take pleasure from every word. Other writers will either like your pieces or not, it's all down to individual taste. But like @Cataract says, don't be too disheartened. We've all been there. 👍

@skypup Sarah, there's not much to add to the great advice people have already offered... but one thing you can do (which we all benefit from) is reading the writing of other Opuss users. Doing that gives you ideas to add yo your own set of writing skills - it's how ANY of us learn to write better. Like some of the others here I've been with Opuss since the early days and I STILL learn from other writers - i might learn something from you. Just keep writing and be pleased with what you write.

Ok.. didn't mean to hit send.. reading through your words.. i think everyone has given tips that can help.. but help in that if you are wanting more posts notice you will need to like and comment on others writing too.. its what i did when i first started on Opuss..

Writing can/will connect people, so as mentioned above, write from your heart, sometimes your mind, and the words will get noticed.. take care..
