Enter Dawn Part Four- Layla #enterdawn My head spins. Raven. Gone. True, he wasn't that nice. He didn't treat me very nicely, but at least he taught me some useful stuff. He's only been gone a few minutes, but it feels like ages. When I stop running, I don't know where I am. It's quite an exotic place, there are market stalls lining both sides of the streets, and the smell is gorgeous. I can smell all sorts of spices, ranging from sweet cinnamon to spicy paprika. I begin to wander the streets, entranced by this foreign culture. It's all so colourful: women are walking the streets with vibrant headscarves, stopping every now and then to hurry along a child or examine the contents of a stall. I walk over to a stall selling dream catchers made from colourful strings, feathers and beads. Careful not to break it, I pick one up. It's purple and blue, with white feathers. The man at the stall notices me looking. "You want? I give you good price." He says, a hopeful look in his eyes. Upon closer inspection, I see his eyes are sunken, and his frail fingers shaking. "It's okay. Take the money." I hand him a small wad of notes, and his face lights up with delight. "I can feed family! May Allah bless you!" He smiles, and I smile back. It was only a small amount of money to me, but to him it must have been his world. I continue to walk down the streets, and I notice my stomach begin to rumble. Damn. I need to hunt. I wander down a backstreet, and I see a girl. She's alone, and that's good. She looks older than me, but she's walking slowly, not paying attention. Maybe she grew up here, and it's her first time back. Maybe she's lived here all her #life. I shake these thoughts off, and begin to follow her.
