Anorexic Earth Im starving myself for religion Im starving myself from fight Im starving myself from speaking words And I never intend to write They starve for their religion Hoping their god sees their needs They starve themseves to no avail Because their pagan god likes to sleep They starve themselves from fighting They say they "give love not hate" But they fill their lungs with smoke and ash With no friends to resuscitate. They starve themselves from speaking "A vow of silence" they do say Their throats are dry from silence As opportunities die away I never intended to write this #poem It simply came to me We are all anorexic in a way And starved Of what we are meant to be
