Again " Hello from the other side " he said down the phone. Simon had this really annoying habit of talking to his work colleagues only in song lyrics. Adele, Coldplay, Blur, even Elvis and Frank Sinatra. He would #quote them all. It started off quite innocently just a bit of fun in the office one day. 6 months later everyone else had moved on, everyone except Simon. He had never been particularly popular, he had impressed at the interview with his knowledge of process and technology but he was beginning to become a bit of a stereotype. The annoying guy in the office who did his job well enough not to get sacked but he spent his day searching for attention from his colleagues and never ever succeeding.
