Nora's mom cut her from all of her activities. As you can see, she probably was not happy about that. Nora's activities were her #life. Apparently, after school when Nora got home, her mom gave her a lecture about school, and how it's not that hard. Nora was failing math, her least liked subject. She was whizzing through science and reading and other subjects, which her mom was proud of. But Nora wasn't happy. She didn't want to be taken out of her basketball league, or volleyball team, or science club! Especially not her pet sitters club called the Pet Pizzaz Team. But her mom had made her point.
