Angel Farm okay first of all im starting afresh, this story is also on my new opuss Sierra. I want to change to that one permenantly eventually but just getting the word out. Enjoy! Chapter 1 -------------------------- Crazy Farm -------------------------- The rescue centre, Angel farm, looked rundown and old. The sign hung crookedly and paint peeled from the wobbly fenceline. Good God, how have I ended up here? When I signed up to do work experience with the school I wasn't expecting to end up at this dump. Around me, a few animals, who look as old and rundown as their surroundings, looked briefly in my direction, before returning to their seemingly dull and boring lives. A small woman appeared from an equally small shed, the farms useless excuse of an office. She spotted me and came hurrying over. "Hi, you must be Stella, welcome to Angel farm." As the small woman, Jill, toured me around the farm, it dawned on me that the next few weeks were not going to be as I imagined. I had pictured a lively, cleaner atmosphere, helping poor animals thrive and possibly get to ride some of the horses they kept here. But none of the horses around me looked approachable, let alone rideable. "You'll be working with Cory, my main worker, and he'll show you the ropes," Jill explained, "Ah, here he is now." I met the intense gaze of bright blue eyes. They weren't welcoming either. Cory looked me up and down like I was something he had just picked off the floor, regarding me with disgust. He obviously wasn't looking forward to the next few weeks either. "Cory, can you show Stella here the ropes, I have to get back to the office!" Jill dissapeared and I was left alone with Cory. "Follow me girl, you have a lot to learn!" Cory sighed, walking off into a large barn. Rude, I thought. Who was he calling girl! Jill had clearly just called me Stella. "Chaff, nuts, oats, pig feed, grain and hay is over there," Cory said quickly, pointing at all the different compartments of feed. I wasnt going to learn all this! "Oh, and supplements for the horses are in that container, there are quite a few so you best start remembering," Cory said cooly. I studied him carefully. Was he being serious? He looked serious. He met my gaze and glared. So he was the friendliest of guys either. He must of been about 18 or 19, a year or so older than me. He had dark hair that almost covered his eyes, and these dazzling blue eyes that I couldnt stop looking at. But his personality let his good looks down. He was rude and arrogant, and I was not going to let myself fall for some careless cowboy.
