Not Fair I'm still running around in this empty place, Wondering when me and my troubles would eventually face, When we meet again on a cold winter morning, And questions from the two of us are finally dawning "It's not fair," I'd think, "It isn't right, you can't." He'd give me a look and forgive him I shan't And forever our trust would have collided, Ending in a decision I had never decided. A happy ending for one; with the money in hand; And a #life light and bright in a faraway land. But as for the other; that would be me, With nothing waiting but the other man's fee. "It's okay," I'd say, "I'll start a new #life." But what future could I have without my only wife? My hopes slowly shattered as the realisation struck, That without any money, I held on to faith and luck. I walked down what was left of my town, My steps perfectly in time. Everything, everyone seems to fall down, But only optimism would I climb. I looked along the street, And my eyes saw only grey. With no shoes around my feet, I stand alone and pray.
