Wounds take time to heal, if you've had that much hurt, you can't be ready to let someone back in yet, but this time will pass. And when you decide you're ready, you'll be able to choose who it is that you let in, and you'll use your past experiences as a lesson to make future relationships/friendships better. It's natural to be scared of getting hurt again, but it only ever makes you stronger, and future connections better - sometimes it was worth the pain, in the end
