TZ Chapter 2 I commence to panic. I wish I had noticed the hole in the door before it was too late. I glance at ma, who is in tears. I hold her close, and embrace her. I lean in, and comfort her as much as possible. I want her to feel safe. We both look up. The sound of the water is burlier than before. Her tears are more fluent. I contemplate at her. We are both aware of our chance for survival. It's at a bare minimum. "I love you ma!" I squeeze her, and our tears cascade. It hurts to know we will both be dead and alone, without each other. She tells me she loves me. That's the first time I hear her pronounce those simple words. It feels nice to be loved. It's not often I receive it. This moment is precious to me, and I couldn't ask for more. Without consideration, the water confronts us with such force, it leaves me in a state of shock, and within seconds the cellar is underwater.
