Practical Jokes It was a boiling hot day, even in the early morning. Today we were going to the beach with our grandad. When my grandad arrived we climbed into his swelteringly hot car and drove off to Penarth Pebble Beach. It was full to the brim, we worked our way through the crowd towards the pier. After a stroll down the pier, we grabbed a deliciously cold and refreshing Ice Cream. After this, we went down on to the Pebble Beach. My brother, Evan, and I decided to have a competition about who could the throw and skim the stones the furthest. My Grandad then suggested that we take a walk along the beach, as we were walking, it became increasingly hotter. Evan started to become cross and grouchy because it was so hot, and then he saw people in the sea and started to claim he wanted to go in the sea too. So we went down close to sea and Evan threw off his shoes and so did I. I suddenly had the best idea, I lined the bottom of Evans shoes with wet sand and then sprinkled dry sand on top. Evan called for me to join him so I reluctantly joined him for a little bit. When we came out shortly after I slipped back on my flip flops and my brother pulled back on his socks and slipped on his shoes. It was hilarious watching his moan the whole way back to the car that he had stuff in his shoes, and when we eventually got to the car he took off his shoes and out of each fell a massive pile of sand. Nobody ever suspected it was me cause we were at the Beach
