Chains All of our lives, Are spent in chains, We don't even realise, But we feel the pain, Until we're eighteen, We're chained up in education, So much pain we have seen, No wonder we celebrate graduation. We're chained up to a workplace, That just gets us by, The tiredness on your face, And the tears that you cry, Show the weight of the chains, Holding you far back, You scream at the pain, As they make your wrists crack. We're chained to our beds, In our old age, We can't lift our heads, Can no longer engage, We can't walk, Or even smile, We can't talk, Is it even worthwhile?
