Victorian London The smoky ash among the sky, Factories with chimneys soaring high, Hooves clatter on the street, Orphaned children, bare, sore feet, Pickpockets fool the snobs of London, Their wallets and lockets they soon abandon. Boys up chimneys cleaning soot, They would rather do anything but, Girls sewing for the whole day, Not taking too much money away, Adults that struggle to get by, People with dreams who wistfully sigh. Just another day in Victorian times, So many inventions, so many lies.
