A Translucent Soul I didn't notice her, Walking on by, Till I heard her utter a faint, but clear cry. I turned to look, At her hollow face, Marked with scars, Etched into place. She was skin and bones, An empty sack of nothing, Blowing in the breeze, Drifting like a leaf. Her cry pulled me back, To the reality of her, She was only half a soul, Waiting for the hearse. I watched her go, I left her alone, I just sat and stared, As her cry faded to nothing, Like leaves in the air.
