Adam was now getting used to his surroundings inside the mind of the Doctor he new so well, he decided it was a good idea to have look around, investigate the mind of this brilliant but unfortunately single minded man. He had learnt that to understand a mind it is best to see it as rooms or compartments linked by corridors all interconnecting, all accessible from each other room or compartment, just a thought could take you from one to another instantly, the ones that control everyday things like walking, talking, breathing etc automated with light pulses passing between them and other rooms making the brain a visible, understandable form easy to navigate. Adam floated through the corridors checking numerous doors, all named or tagged, he pushed the door marked memories and floated across the threshold, wisps of lights rushed passed his body heading off in different directions; Adam held up a hand to touch one of the small balls of light, as it passed through his fingers he saw mathematical symbols written in white chalk on faded green, wooden framed board. The light pulse fled away continuing its journey following the corridors until it suddenly turned a ninety degree corner and disappeared from view. Inside the memory room there were more corridors leading to too many to count doors that appeared to go on into the distance at infinitum, each one named, all of the Doctors memories filed in order right back to his earliest thoughts, sights and sounds the further away they were the older they got and more difficult to access, as Adam flew past earlier and earlier doors they became more and more aged, he stopped for a moment the date on the door in front of him was dated fifty four year in the past and seeing that the Doctor was in his early sixties it meant these memories were from his early childhood, the door was old and worn, the hinges looked rusted, almost welded tight with rust, Adam tried the door, as he pushed he felt the stiffness of age fight back, as he struggled a new sensation washed over him, an awareness a feeling of fright - no terror! But not his own terror. Adam felt himself drawn back to the visual cortex, he needed to see something, the need was pulling him back, he didn't fight it, Adam let the force take him back, through the door to the visual cortex he passed then the images started to flow
