When I Met Her Chapter 1. My name is Cole and I can't stop remembering. The first time I met her was when I was twelve. I was a pretty stupid kid so I was hanging outside an apartment block with my friends. We were practically waiting for some unknowing individual to pass by so we could cause some havoc. Suddenly there was some shuffling and a short girl came into view, I couldn't have cared less about her appearance so I didn't take it into account but I did notice she was moving rather quickly. "Hey girly!" yelled one of friends, James. The girl just kept going as we yelled after her. "Stop walking!" I screamed, she finally stopped and turned, her hair flying as she turned, obviously annoyed. "Shut up! You're waking the entire neighbourhood and I need to get some shut eye. You do realise because of you I won't get sleep. I haven't had sleep for a week, maybe longer, I've lost track and now I have some stalker kids taunting me. So, excuse me if I'm cranky but I really don't need this right now" she yelled back with anger so ferocious and full of hate that I took a step back. I noticed my friends retreating so I did the same. "Sorry, didn't realise..." mumbled James sympathetically. She seemed to soften at the apology, she shook her head and mumbled something before rushing away. I sighed, rubbing my eyes. "Boys, we should probably get some sleep ourselves..." I muttered reasonably, they seemed hesitant at first but I yawned and they did too in turn do they just agreed and I walked into the apartment after the girl... why did I think it was a good idea to this outside my apartment? Chapter 2. Our next memorable meeting was a year later. I was sitting at a bus stop. Bored, my interest was caught by a girl and a boy running just across the street. I had chosen to ignore them at first until I saw the man chasing them. He was a bulky-looking guy and he was running after them with such obvious intensity, it couldn't have been just a game. I got up and ran to the end of the sidewalk, "Hey! What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled at the man, he stopped and stated at me, his face red with exertion. He turned to see the boy and girl run down an alley. He ran after them but soon came back, he stared at me then began coming across the road. I think it's lucky that my bus came at that moment. I'm not sure what he would've done if he actually got to me. My name is Cole and that was when I realised this girl isn't normal Chapter 3. I saw her on a few occasions after that, she was always in a rush, like she was late or something, it's almost intimidating. I can't even bring myself to ask her what's going on. The few times I've approached her, there was too many people around so I couldn't ask anything and when there is few people around I feel too vulnerable to even go near her. The only time I was able to talk to her was when she transferred to my high school when I was 15. The teacher had come in, a creepily joyful look on her face and I couldn't help but feel cold on the pit of my stomach because she's never happy. She hates her job. "Hey! We have a new student! I have no choice but to be happy!" she said and her smile began to look painful. The door swung open and a girl dressed in dark colours came in, her hair was blond, almost white and her eyes were light grey. She watched us cautiously before stepping into the middle of the room. "I'm Tyler. I know it sounds like a guy's name but it's a unisex name actually. Nice to meet you all" she said in a cold tone, her gaze stayed on me longer than the rest but I thought nothing of it and ignored her when she sat down next to me. I felt her eyes bore into the back of my head so I turned to her and gave her a lazy look. "I'm Cole. Nice to meet you" I say tiredly, she nods and quickly begins jotting down notes on what he teacher in saying. We have a test on Monday so it's a good idea but I'm not bothered. I'll just get them off James or someone later. She writes surprisingly quickly and I can't help but feel drawn to the perfect curves of her letters, her writing is what I would call beautiful. I don't realise the class ended until I feel James tugging on the back of my hoodie. "Earth to Cole. Are you in there man?" he called as I broke free of my trance and looked up at him. "Huh?" I ask dumbly. James rolls his eyes and hair drags me outside, he hands me a scrap of paper. The notes I would guess. "You're welcome" he says offhandedly and I just nod. I catch sight of the girl, she's being crowded around by guys and girls alike. She looks terrified. I feel pity for her so I motion her over, James give me an incredulous look, the girl on the other hand looks relieved, she rushes over to the benches that is pretty much my territory at lunch. She sits daintily next to me and the other kids don't follow. I'm a known troublemaker so nobody gets close to me other than James and a few others. The girl doesn't know so I suppose she is one of the few others now. "Hey" I say, "Thanks" she replies. She stares at me, tilting her head. "Do you remember me?" She asked suddenly, I panic at that but don't let it show. "No?" I replied in a questioning tone. My name is Tyler and the stalker asshole kid doesn't remember me! Chapter 4. I glared at Cole. How can anyone forget me? I look so different from other people, it's almost impossible to miss me and he's seen me so many time too. Ugh, he's a moron. "You don't remember me?" I growled, incredulously. He shrugged, I turned to James. "When we were twelve" I snapped, his eyes widened to the size of saucers and he stuttered. "Y-you were the girl on that day?" he asked carefully, Cole looked from James to me. "You two know each other?" he asked cautiously, James held me back as I attempted to punch him in the face. Cole jumped back, "the hell?!" he exclaimed, James let me go as soon as he realised I wasn't going to punch Cole anymore. "Remember that day outside your apartment Cole? We saw that girl? It was when we were twelve!" explained James as calmly as he could. Cole didn't understand for a minute but he finally came to a slow realisation. "Y-you're that girl?!" He cried out, shocked. I sighed and nodded, "why were you being chased that time?" he asked, my blood ran cold. "A year later, I saw you, someone was with you and a guy was following you" he said, "that was my twin brother... and John..." I muttered, turning away. "Why were you running from John?" he asked, confused. "He wanted to kill us" I say simply before walking away, I can't deal with this right now. We aren't talking about my Dad, I don't even know him. Chapter 5. My name is Cole and what the hell just happened? I watched Tyler as she stormed away, raging from my questions. She obviously had no desire to answer anymore questions... ugh, that was the worst first actual impression I could've made, now she hates me as much as the rest and I have an even worse reputation. Great. The bell rings and I groan as that means I have to go to class and confront Tyler once more... well maybe she won't be in my Maths class... I suck at Maths. I forced myself to be optimistic and went into the class, barely keeping a straight face and then I saw Tyler sitting where I usually sit. My straight face became real in a matter of seconds, I sat next to her. Ignoring her glares and quiet grunts as she frowns at me. I ignored her and just concentrated on the maths teacher, droning on about mathematical terms and stuff that I didn't understand. Tyler was called up to answer a particularly hard question, I don't think we even covered that section yet. Tyler blinked and fluttered long white lashes before going up, she pulled a pair of glasses from her jean pocket and lightly placed them over her eyes. She studied the question for a few minutes before writing quickly, equation after equation and soon enough I could keep up. She finally came to an answer and stepped back, studying her equations for a minute before allowing the teacher to see. She got it right, what the hell? Is she a genius or something?! Tyler blushed slightly at the praise from the teacher, she quickly pulled over her glasses and hid her face in her hair. I have to admit... the light pink blush looked rather pretty on her pale face. She rubbed her eyes lightly and stared at me. She dropped her gaze and came back down to sit next to me. "Nice job, that was amazing..." I whispered to her, she looked down at her lap but I could see she was blushing to the tips of her ears. I smiled at her then concentrated my attention back on the teacher.
