What If's Zombie Apocalypse "Sara, please try to be quiet. You know what happens if they hear us." I tried to be a bit more careful with my footsteps. My taser was locked in my right hand. The taser was more of a weapon against the living, but aside from that it was almost useless. Yet my knuckles where white from the grip I had on it. "There might be other people here. We can only hope we don't see them, or that they are friendly." My best friend nervously flanked my left. His hands where curled into tight fists as he examined the area. Two black dogs rose from our shadows. Instead of immediately taking off to scout, they pushed us closed together. Their bodies tensed as they looked around nervously. Donavan grabbed my shoulder, and I was quickly rushed to the safety of the bushes. The shadowy dogs crouched on either side of me as we stared at the building on the other side of the street. We had been trying to get to a gun range with hopes that there was anything left. Donavan said I can't keep threatening the undead with a taser. I was suppose to be the zombie control, while Donavan was the people person. Zombie control was a little hard when you had a taser that did nothing except make them throw up. Not a moment I want to relive. I rested a hand on Donavan's shoulder to get his attention. His eyes held a strong feral light to them that sent chills up my spine. "Let's get out of here." "Stay here." He leapt out of the bushes, and I flinched as leaves rained down on me. I peaked up to see a large black creature running to the store. A handful of people emerged from the gun store. They all began shouting, then took aim at the beast. It was about the size of a really big dog, and was certainly a scary sight. One of the wolves tried to pull me back so that I wasn't so close to the opening of the bush. I didn't move, my eyes where locked on the sight across the road. A scream of pain rang through the air, and I could barely hear the crush of bones as a persons chest was crushed in the creatures mouth. The body was tossed aside, a streak of blood left behind on the sidewalk. "We gotta run!" The remaining people scrambled to get inside, the screamed for others to get out. Unfortunately doors wouldn't stop the monster, and the opening of the store was soon smashed open. A large beast crept into the darkness of the building. I was suddenly yanked back by one of the dogs. I was about to scold the dog when a odd sound rustled my ears. Two feet shuffled past the bush. Worn out and muddied sneakers brushed the ground as I grey skinned being walked by. Small mumbles came from the thing. I was speechless as the feet passed. Fear rushed through me, and I huddled between the two wolves. Their teeth where bared in nasty grins. Suddenly another set of undead feet shuffled past. Then another. And another. My heart pounded in my chest as I gripped my taser. I didn't know what to do. "Sara! Don't move!" Relief flooded my being at the sound of my friends voice. As long as Donavan was coming, things would be okay. Wip
