Save It For The Black And White The door was locked, the keys thrown and the light flicked on. I stood spine pressed against the oak door. Footsteps echoed above and the presence of power wafted through the building. Perfecting my posture I strode over to the large staircase leading downwards and adjusted my lemon coloured coat. As I neared the end of the spiralling stairs a thin lanky man bearing a large briefcase rushed over to me, his beady eyes trailed along my body until a large toothy grin much to large for his face appeared. " Look who decided to make an appearance!" I smiled at him apologetically. I reached into my small purse and dug through it in search of my brass coloured keys. I inserted them into the door and pushed it open beckoning for the man to follow me. I rounded my desk and took a seat before I noticed my potential client awkwardly standing under the frame of the door. "Please take a seat Mr. Ummmm?" " Haven, Robert Haven." His voice was deep as he spoke, his words confident and clear. I waited for him to take a seat before speaking. "Right, Mr. Haven how may I help you today." His eyes turned dark and stormy, " I've been accused of a terrible crime. A young woman was murdered last night and the police think I did it!" I was puzzled as to how he had tracked me down so fast. But instead of voicing my opinion I stated, " What was you relation to the woman?" I took out a notebook from the drawer in my desk. I looked up after a minute of no reply, " Mr. Haven I can't help you if you don't tell me the accusation and the terms on which you and the victim were on." He looks at me strangely and I can see a piece of him breaking inside, " My daughter." he spits these two words out and sinks into his chair. AUTHORS NOTE: HOW WAS IT?!
