Stolen A great thief came last night He snuck up from out of the brightest of white At first all I saw was this piercing light Lighting up the darkest part of night There was no warning, there was no shifting of shadows He simply came with a handful of arrows I thought he'd kill me on the spot, but instead a piercing of pure love is what I got It shook my soul, it shook my bones And with a breath on my chest it crushed this heart of stone Little by little my inner world crumbled As I heard a lion's roar through thick air rumble A great thief came last night He took my shame and gave me flight Never to return to the dark of night He stole my heart, and gloriously set it alight. - @marissameyer 08|08|2014
