Marionette The light was eerie green, tinted with a fading yellow backdrop. No one was with him, no trace of anyone was around. All Grayson remembered was walking to his car, and then the cold steel striking his head square in the centre before knocking him out cold. Now, he was lost, no where he knew, forgotten. "He... Hello?" He cried out, hoarse due to his parched throat. Only an echo for an answer. He pulled his arm, but found it didn't respond. Confused, Grayson tried to angle his head to face it, but nothing happened. He could feel his body want to respond, but it simply wouldn't. "Awake at last, Mr Alexander. Good." Came a cold, feminine and familiar voice. Grayson coughed as his throat tickled him. "How nice of you to... Drop by," The woman moved forward; he could hear her heels click against the concrete floor, but she didn't show herself. "What is this?" Grayson wheezed. "An... Experiment." He heard a flick as the woman bumped a switch. He felt his arm pulled upwards against it's will. He cried out as the muscle stretched against something metal, solid and in his bone. His head still wouldn't turn. Another flick of an unknown switch sent tremors of pain through his spine, causing his head to move sideways. He caught a glimpse of his arm, and whimpered at the huge metal chains digging into his skin and holding him to the ceiling. He saw it go through his arm, straight through the bone, one by his wrist, the other by his bicep. "This experiment seems to be successful." He heard the woman's cold voice. "Good. But we should see his far this goes." A modulated voice replied to her, deep and commanding. Grayson screamed as the chains tore his body into position; he felt the blood trickle from where they had, down his arms and his neck. His legs weren't chained by the bones, but he could feel they weren't free. He was just a broken figure. A plaything. A marionette. And he was in agony from the start. ******************************************** #rowntrees #randoms #boredom
