The Acrom Sorry, this is not a #poem, my phone wouldn't work. Chrissa hurried to put on her chevron print rain boots. Today was her first day as an Acrom. She would be working the tunnels. "It's hard work, no place for a girl!", her father told Chrissa. "I don't care! It's one of the only thing the Nevrin lets us choose, and I want to be an Acrom!" Chrissa cried. She did not yell much but choosing her career was very important to her. The Nevrin was ver strict and did not let them choose very many things. She was glad they were aloud to pick their clothing because their city, Thartas, had some of the best clothing and fashion. Their family was wealthy so they had a wide variety of things to choose from. "Hurry, Chrissa! I've got your coat right here," Mrs. Marshley urged her. "I'm almost done, just got to brush my hair!" Chrissa replied. Just then, the Nevrin car pulled up. "Hurry up, they're here!" Mrs. Marshley said in a hushed voice. Knock, knock, knock… Chrissa was still not ready. "Oh, hello! Chrissa is just putting on her coat, she'll be out in a minute!" Mrs. Marshley greeted them. You could tell she was nervous. Chrissa could'nt tell why. "We can't have any more slip ups like this. You remember what happened to the brother, don't you?" The man in the black suit whispered in her ear. She nodded rapidly looking down the whole time. " Get in the car," the man said. She hurried to the car , which was more of a limousine, and slipped into the grey leather seats. There were plenty of other kids in there her age, all looking around like confused pigeons. "You've caused us a lot of trouble, Chrissa," the man said.
