The Winter Dream Snow falling lightly, Getting entangled in your hair. Your perfume, sweet and candy-like, Drifting in the breeze. You're warm, But the wind makes you shutter. You move closer. The wind makes you shiver. You envelop yourself in my jacket. My hands wrap around you, Protecting you from an unseen force. You turn and gaze at me. I gaze back. You laugh, your breath drifting skyward. I laugh back. We stand there, In the snow, laughing and gazing. You lean in. I lean in. I stir from my dream. I look around, Everything is hazy. The dry erase board is filled with words. A voice asks a question. I answer and glance your way. You glance at me. Our eyes meet. Brown on blue. We hold, Then break. I wonder, But doubt it. Allowing my mind, To drift back. To a Winters dream.
