The City purple skyline caresses the moon, metallic thunder overwhelms my senses I stand at the center of the universe with all of its contents orbiting I protected by the towers of babble, ancient monuments to our green faced gods seemingly impossible in their summit lost misguided souls lying desperately in shadow being obstaclized by thousand dollar suits on million dollar men monks of their incorporated temples their creed incessantly flashing until it's burned into our skulls a dizzying array of sex, theatre, propaganda, and love I feel a radiant heat from my stomach that reaches my fingertips I think I'm in love I think I've found home My English teacher had us write a #poem about the city, I wrote about the first time I visited New York 2 years ago
