Enemy's 1. Anna-Leis She laughed. But it was that laugh where her head tilts back slightly and her ocean blue eyes catch the sun in that perfect lighting. She held lightly onto her stomach with her left hand, the way she always did when she laughed too hard. Her scarlet lips formed into a smile and hid away her teeth, like an oyster shutting away it's pearl. Too bad she was my enemy. "Cassidy!" Miss Peters shouted, making the whole class drop silent in anticipation. "Yes, Miss?" she said, sweetly. "Why are you laughing?" "It was Anna-Leis. She made me laugh," Cassidy smirked, her British roots showing more than ever in her accent. "Anna-Leis? Break time for you then. Any more and it's an after school." the teacher said, writing my name on the left side of the white board. Cass bit her tongue, "I wouldn't recommend an after for her Miss. She's a lesbian." I raised my eyebrows and laughed as the whole of the class howled- as if they already didn't know. "Cassidy Evans, just because Anna-Leis likes women, you can't treat her any different. Ok?" Miss Peters sighed. I blushed and turned my head downwards for a second. She wrote Cassidy's name on the board, without saying a word. Cassidy looked up from her French manicure and opened her mouth. She then ran a hand through her long, beach-blonde waves and closed it again. Oh Cass. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect Cass.
