Choir? It's so common that people say "chorus" over "choir." Why is this? Both are correct, but why? Chorus seems to be placed in more of a rural or more hick like place, not to offend. So really, why is it though?

Really? Around here there are more people who say choir. Maybe it's just where I'm from, but it's less common to hear chorus around here.

Yes, I'm in Ohio, but I switched schools recently. Now, it's common to hear choir, but chorus is still used, and the exact opposite from the other school. xD
