The Flightless Bird I came out of an egg Hoping to learn a lot I sang with all the other birds But there was one thing I did not I could not fly across the sky as all the other birds could My mother said someday you will sprout your wings And fly like the others But as I watched the others fly I began to wonder If what mother said was really true Or will I never be like the others?
