Euthanasia The ground was a blanket of crisp white that froze my toes and brought a smile to my face. I sat down on the cold seat, letting its warmth soothe me. I let go of my troubles. I clenched onto the freezing metal chains that bound my chair and thrust my legs forward. A shriek of glee bubbled from my chest and filled the air with its melodic sound. It was a sound I hadn't heard in a while. Faster and faster I swung, the butterflies erupting in my small stomach. Happiness was an emotion that had long since gone from my repertoire. I suppose one swing could change that. I glanced to the people beside me rolling a snowball in the blanket. Another laugh of euphoria. Unwanted parasite feelings could be banished for now. For now at least. Closing my eyes, I let the metamorphose shape my body and expel the rid. Is this what it was like before my sickness?
