Story Help! I have been trying to write a story for months yet I can't get past the opening line! I need some feedback on the plot, which might give me a little more mojo! Basically, a human wants to become a mermaid. A mermaid wants to become a human. They meet and after a while become best friends. They make a promise to never leave each other. When they are being pulled away from each other by outside forces, one must give up their dream to help the other fulfil theirs. But which one makes the ultimate sacrifice? The book is hopefully going to be aimed at Tweens, teens and maybe young adults. I've never tried to write a book before and I'm full of self doubts!!
