My #life In District 12 The morning started like any other. I came downstairs, had breakfast around the table with Mother, Vick, Rory and Posy. But today was much quieter. Today was the reaping. I got dressed into my hunting clothes an left for the woods. I hopped through the electric fence and into the dark and light lush green Forest. I very lightly and slowly made my way to the heart of the Forest where I found Katniss aiming for a deer. I grinned. "What are you gonna do with that when you kill it!?" I called, making the deer run away. Katniss spun around and I could see she was furious. But even then she was the most stunning person I had ever met! She spat a few harsh words at me, but the whole time I never stopped smiling at her. I took one of her arrows off her and studied it "The place is crowded with Peacekeepers!" I pointed out. She grabbed the arrow back and stuffed it back with the rest. "I was gonna sell it. To some Peacekeepers." I grinned and picked up a rock. "Alright." I threw the rock at a nearby tree, making birds fly out like a waterfall. Katniss swiftly took out her bow and shot one of the biggest, fittest birds right in the eye. We both began to smile and laugh. As soon as Katniss had collected the bird we made our way to our favourite place. On top of District 12's biggest hill. We sat down, looking out at the rest of the Forest in the sunshine. We'd never gone further than the hill that we sat on now, aware of the more ferocious animals that lived in packs further within. "Oh I forgot." I smiled and took out a piece of fresh bread and ripped it in half. "Oh my gosh! Is it real?" She asked getting excited. It reminded me of Posy on Christmas morning. She grabbed her half and broke it open, smelling it. "Better be, cost me a squirrel!" I laughed. Katniss then spread some of Lady's goat cheese that she nicked from home into the bread. We had collected some berries and we began to eat. I looked over at her. And it was that moment when I saw her smiling face, that I knew I was in love with her.
