Reminder Days Thanksgiving. Whether you hate it or love it, believe in it or not, think it's worthless or worthy--doesn't matter. I hear everyone saying that this holiday is the worst or that it does not matter because we should not dedicate a day to be thankful and be with family, but rather be thankful everyday. True, but think back to yourselves and ask if you have been giving thanks every day to those that are important and meaningful up to this supposed worthless holiday. I know most of you have not, with myself included. If anything, think of today as a reminder to give thanks. Because we tend to forget, we tend to not care and spend our days being self absorbed and complain about every thing wrong with our lives. This holiday is not meant to be a dedication to what we are SUPPOSED do anyways, which is to give thanks and be with loved ones amongst an abundance of food. This holiday is meant to REMIND us that the world does not revolve around our happy or sad little lives--that we owe so much to those that are meaningful to us that helps us get through each day. Yet, we tend to forget that we should be grateful. Here's a challenge: say at least one thing that you are thankful for everyday for a month, and then keep going if you do not forget. If there is one thing I know, the happiest and less bitter people I have met are the ones who are always grateful, even when their lives are falling apart. I want to be one of those people. Happy Yearlong Thanksgiving everyone.
