She wished her heart would stop pounding. It's become so irritating that the silence cannot be still. The room shouldn't be so bright but she couldn't dwell in darkness. She looked at the boy in the couch. He had such a loud voice and has been so animated with his reading that she seemed invisible to him. His skill has just been discovered and he seems intent on making the most of it. She is thankful for his ability to forget. There have been short periods of memory but for the most part he seems to have forgotten. The day was bright again and everything seemed so still. He was as usual loud and playful. Oblivious to his environment. She noticed the dragonfly that flew directly at him and then settled on his right shoulder. The boy stopped and cocked his head then it looked like he nodded in acknowledgement. He then turned and looked at me. " it's time to go in now" " what do you mean? Are you tired of playing?" "No ,but it's getting dark and rain is coming" he said I was about to disagree when the wind started and it looked like the clouds suddenly covered the sky. Inside the house, I lighted the fireplace which gave warmth to a darkening day. Givan sat right next to me and leaned fondly as he usually does. He glanced out the window and listened to the wind outside. Then he turned and spoke to me in an unusually mature voice. " I think we will have to go soon" " where? What are you talking about?" ". I will need to go back to finish the journey. It is the only way to save them"
