He rushed to her on the bed and told her not to worry. He kissed her and comforted her. Antonio came in through the door. "What is important is my baby, I'm worried about her very much" rosa said. Rosa was Spanish and Fabio and his brother were Italian. "Antonio" Fabio said. "You need to keep her safe, you need to keep her away from Vincenzo, I'm entrusting you to her, take care of her and love her. Please take care of her" Fabio said picking Scarlett up from her crib. Present Day Chapter I 21 year old Scarlett stared at the pregnancy test in the bathroom of rex's apartment. Two pink lines. She was pregnant, carrying rex's baby. The thought of that brought a smile to her face. She touched her belly hoping to feel something but she felt nothing. She looked at the bathroom mirror then tears started to fall. She tried wiping them away but it kept on flowing. The current situation brought the tears. Someone was sending her threatening letters. She remembered what the last one had said. She walked to the living room and dropped the test on the table. She was about to lie down on rex's sofa when she heard a loud bang. As he climbed the stairs, he thought about last night with her. That thought made him smile but also worried. Scarlett had sought for his help when she was receiving the letters. He was on the corridor to which his room was then he began to think. What if she got hurt? What if something happened? But what could happen? He didn't want to think negative but think positive. "I love her and nothing is..." His words were cut short because he noticed his door opened wide. The door which she told Scarlett not to open for anyone was laying ajar. He run to his room. Everything was upside down. He slowly walked inside stepping on the broken glass full of sorrow and guilt. Scarlett was gone. Then something caught his eye. A red pigment on the table stand. He walked closer towards it then touched it with his hands. Blood, her blood and that shocked him to his soul. Then his phone rang, he picked it up and said hello? "Hello rex" a voice said "Who are you and how you do know my name?" Rex demanded. "You bitch. You couldn't let me have her. Always the hero, always mr I'm so cool" the voice said. He said over the phone then hung up. Chapter II Scarlett slowly opened her eyes on the bed to see the sunlight pierce the drapes and fall to the floor. She got up and touched her forehead which was sore. Then like lightening she remembered the whole thing. She started to cry. She could only think about rex and what he is going through. Because of her, she wished that she hasn't involved him in her mess. She looked around. She was in a room with windows and curtains pushed part to allow sunlight in the room. She looked at the door which was the only entrance. Suddenly, the door opened and Zachary came through the door. "Oh you are awake" he said smiling like everything was okay. He was holding a pizza box. He was in a black suit like his kidnappers. He was not too tall, bald with blue eyes and well muscled. He had changed. The last time she saw him he had hair but now he was different. She had met Zachary in high school. They were friends, Rex, Zachary and her. Obviously she had always loved rex over him cause of his cheating and shortcomings. However how could he do this. She stared at him from the bed. "Oh don't give me that look" Zachary said. "The boss says I can't touch you but I guess the boss isn't here" Zachary said walking towards her and loosing his belt. "What are you doing?" Scarlett said moving back on the bed. She was scared of him. Scared of what might happen now. Zachary went to grab her on the bed. He was on top of her in an instant and restraining her hands.
