@blindsilence, no not really because what some are referring to as 'liberation' is bloody oppressive - literately so, in Iraq.

@sushii The act of 'liberation' is subjective. Some westerners want to liberate Muslim women from the hijab. Some Muslim women wear the hijab out of choice, whereas some are forced too wear it. All three groups want liberation but the term liberation means different things to each.

@blindsilence That true, that's why I ask such questions, I feel if all parties concerned were to come to an understanding we could speak with one voice. A united front would do far more for the female cause. Support all women, those who want be naked or covered head-to-toe. If one chose to be chained and shackled, I would support their right to do so, as long as it was a choice. Look at the incident with Amina Tyler, both parties completely failed her. Femen supported her by protesting outside a mosque topless, their antics overshadowed what the protests was so supposed to be about. Worse still were the so-called Muslim feminists who acknowledge Amina's plight only in passing.
