After Work It was midnight when I finally finished my work at the station. I was left with a huge pile of evidence that had to be looked through. It was due for tomorrow and Detective Silvain had only told me about it today. Of course I was the only one for the job. Everyone else was busy going home early and drinking another pint with a mate. The work doesn't bother me. I rather enjoy it even though it's a hell lot of paperwork. I just don't like being told about these things when there is such a tight schedule. It makes me feel sick sometimes working under pressure. I had gone through most of it now, yet it was after midnight and it was time to go home. I gave the driver a tener. It was to late to take a bus. When I entered Waterloo station I was surrounded by drunk people and women who dare to wear skirts in the middle of the winter. It took me a while to push through the crowd to get to the right platform. I hate it when you have to tap every single person on the shoulder to get them to step aside and let you through. I was desperately looking for a free two seater in the train, however I gave up looking after going through two carriages and having to meet the eyes of all the people who turn around and stare at you when you open a door to another carriage like it was something nobody ever does. Eventually I sat down next to a young woman, who was giving a little jerk to the side when tried to sit comfortably. I tried to figure out what kind of a book she was reading until I noticed she didn't like me being so curious.
