It was a cold autumn day, slowly getting colder as the night drew closer and the wind picked up. it seemed as though a snow storm was brewing in the horizon, no it was certain, the weather reports earlier that day had confirmed it. In the low light of the dusk a figure entered the tree line of the forest limping,in a hurry but trying to make as little noise as possible so as to not make her position known to her pursuers. she passed a few trees and managed to hide behind a low grown bush, void of its foliage, all that was left was bare, brittle and barren skeletons that stood testament to the power of the elements.she unzipped her coat and took one of her arms out exposing a bloodied shirt. she didnt have much time, they were already closing in on the forest. she had to act fast, ripping a long piece of rag from her shirt she first forced the arm of her coat in her mouth and then took three short and anxious breaths in preparation for what she was about to do. she wrapped the rag around her thigh and tied her leg just above the left knee. biting on her coat as the pain surged up to her brain shouting at her to stop what she was doing and succumb to the peace of sleep. she could not, must not for it would mean the end of her and her mission. she had to keep going , she had to reach him in time. if she did then all of her pain and and her suffering would be worthwhile . her #life would not end in vain knowing that she had done what she had set out to do and given him the message that Caspine sent. forcing herself up again she carried on towards the center of the forest trying for the lodge and its occupant miles j. finn.
