Pre- Birthday Butterfly's So this morning, a rare, hot, stuffy July morning in a usually rainy England, I awake at around five to eight. This is rather strange for me as normally, on a Saturday, with the prospect of a painful Monday morning looming ahead, and the fact I would normally would have to be out the house at half nine for stagecoach (a performing arts group I've been going to for almost eight years) means either I'd be up and ready and raring (if slightly groggy) or dead to the world for a good couple of hours. But this Saturday is unlike no other. This Saturday has monumental difference to the other 51 Saturdays that will come and go this year. This Saturday marks the last day of being a fourteen year old teenager. If you haven't already guessed by now (if you haven't already then you're rather slow this morning aren't you love?) tomorrow is my birthday. Fifteen whole years I will have spent on this world, a population racing towards 9 million, depleting amazon rain forest and a place were people are still judged on the colour of there skin. Sounds all rather morbid doesn't it? But yes tomorrow is indeed my birthday. Excited? That would be an understatement. A child's birthday, is possibly the single greatest day in there year. It leaves Easter and Halloween in the dust, not forgetting bonfire's might. It even bears Christmas to the favourite date on the calendar. It's the one time of the year were you can be the centre of attention all day without your mum or dad jibbing "it's not all about you, you know!" Just talking about the topic of birthdays reminds me that mine is only 15 hours and 37 minutes away (not that I'm counting or anything) sends my stomach twisting and turning and fluttering as if it was filled with a thousand tiny butterflies with excitement. I can't stop thinking about the presents I'll get, the amazing cake I can hear my mum perfecting downstairs, if I'm lucky, some money I can use to finally buy those shoes I've wanted for ages, Birthdays really are the best. So before I get a little too excited I'm going to love you and leave you, listen to a bit of the artic monkeys (thank The Lord for Alex turner) and might get some munch. Liv✌
