60 Kingdoms Dear reader, you are about to hear of a story with peasants and nobles, kings and queens, merchants and thief's who all lived together as one in the best countries to their knowledge. This country is the most advanced and powerful. Simply call it by its name Putere which translates to power. The first story you shall hear about is a peasant who lived in the kingdom of Grâtar, His name was Darthendor, Darthendor like most peasants he lived in houses ranging from small to large built in trees. These trees were called bártęndor which nobles and merchants referred to "peasant tops" because peasants were usually so nimble and thin they could live at the very close to top of tree in the forgotten forest of daskindã, where a large percent of the peasants lived. Darthendor was a lively red haired peasant who lived with his wife and had a son that was very quick on his feet and would often be stealing from nearby merchants. The air had a crisp chill to it as Darthendor headed to the nearby nobles mansion to work the fields with his dry blistered hands, this showed he could provide bread and meat to his family and all of the peasant women considered hard callused hands the sign of a working man who spent his time making money and supporting his family. His wife of 16 years old has had 1 kid and blessed Darthendor with a boy who by this time is 3 years of age. His wife Gartindar is 7 months pregnant and watches her child Darthendor (The second), cooks all the meals for her family and works the day away sewing and cleaning. Darthendor's mother knew what we would consider extremely basic, basic math it was enough to get Darthendor ahead of the other peasants because he could read numbers, add and subtract as long as it was only 3 digits. Darthendor kept stock of the nobles crops, money and he worked the field faster than any other the other workers because he was determined to succeed. Darthendor came home with a noticeably heavier pocket and a sack of food for his family which not a lot of peasants could say. Darthendor was one of the richer peasants but he was far from having the wealth of a merchant or noble. Darthendor's house was a few of the hundred year old trees connected together in what people would consider a large tree house but this wasn't just a place a child of these days we are living in would spend most of their days, this was a house built for a richer peasant. Darthendor got out of paying the full amount of his taxes because the noble that he works for thought of him as one of his better workers and this helped Darthendor save some of his money and get nicer clothes than his fellow neighbor peasants. Darthendor hoisted himself upon the first tree branch and proceeded to climb the old tree, the sunset at his back as he jumped from each branch with great strong legs and his untrimmed hair bounced every time he took a leap to the next branch leading him to his house. His wife was seasoning meat with dried herbs in the kitchen.(there was a fire pit by the base of the tree to cook the broth and the bread) Darthendor entered the kitchen/sitting room/sleeping room and begun to take off his hat and shoes, Darthendor sat on the wood floor and looked at his wife. "The king has set a new tax rule." Darthendor rubbed his hands together. Gartindar his wife replied."what about the noble you work the fields for? Will he help you pay less? Darthendor sarcastically replied "well obviously because it would help him so if I didn't pay, it's not like the nobles aren't benefitting from my tax money too."
