How To Get Noticed? Right, still inspired over here! Had a ton of new ideas for shows and stuff too! Then it dawned on me!!! :O You may begin to wonder what dawned on me, but dont ponder, as I have it under control "It's always easier if you have contacts" someone once told me; I'm beginning to believe them I'm hugely worried bout an A-Level exam coming up, and am desperate to make it to University! But then I got thinking ... What is Uni going to do? The main thing people look for nowadays is Experience, and if you have contacts you will make it in that specific industry, but how do you get these contacts? Still with me? Good Now, I have a contact in a famous football club, does that mean I'm certain to get a job there? Not by any means! So there are a few exceptions However, for the media industry, what will I achieve in Uni that I won't by going out and filming by myself? Sure, I'll come out with better knowledge, an a degree, but in a handy discussion event a few months ago ("the real conversation" by the Cynulliad), which had Employers, Students and Teachers all discussing what they thought about employability and other stuff, only 2% said they would pick degrees over experience, and some even said that "Experience means they won't have to train them up for months, therefore saving money" So, experience. How do you get experience? By getting contacts. How do I get contacts? By talking to Celebrities, Producers, Directors, well known people this will then provide a kind of foot in the door u can ask them, "Do you have any tips" or "Any contacts where I could enquire about a job" or anything really So, how do I talk to 'celebs'? Twitter and Facebook spring to the evergreen mind. Twitter, I have been followed by a few media companies and one or two known people, but no-one major. Facebook, I've found ONE Actress I can private message. So definitely Twitter is used more to connect with celebs and people! What do I say though? I've never been good with choice of words and alway moider and blabber on, like in this Opuss Any ideas?
